Toy Story Woody Buzz Birthday Cake
This is a cake I thoroughly enjoyed making for a lovely customer called Anne, who now lives in Australia. I was asked to make this Maisy Mouse Cake for her little daughter who was turning 2. I had been looking forward to making a Maisy cake for a long time as the colours and simplicity of this cake make it so eye catching. The filling used was madeira with raspberry jam and buttercream filling. I hope you enjoyed viewing this cake and a tutorial will be sure to follow. Watch this space!
I was asked to make this cute birthday cake for a lovely woman called Pam who turned 70. I've known Pam most of my life; she was my Sunday School teacher when I was little and my sister is married to her son. Pam is a great baker and my sister wanted me to make a cake reflecting that. We decided it would be appropriate to make the cake like a giant cupcake . The Cake topper was handmade out of oven bake clay with Pam wearing her little apron and holding her rolling pin. What I love about oven bake clay is that it looks like sugarpaste but the consistency means you can get greater detail. Also it doesn't spoil like sugarpaste after a while, so it lasts as a permanent keepsake.
